The second model

Not everyone wants to wait their turn.

Cooperative societies work differently from a rotational circle: members hold shares, save toward their own goals, borrow against real accountability, and vote on what happens next — all on the same ledger and audit trail as everything else on AjoHub.

Own a real stake
Members buy, sell back, or transfer shares — every transaction posts through a real double-entry ledger, not just a balance that changes.
Save flexibly, or toward a goal
Open an anytime savings account or a target one with a maturity date. Interest accrues automatically on whatever schedule the cooperative sets.
Loans, with real accountability
Guarantors carry an actual liability, not just a signature. Large loans need a second approver, and every repayment schedule is laid out before anyone borrows.
Dividends, split fairly
Payouts are weighted by how long each member actually held their shares during the period — not just who's still around when the cycle closes.
A real voice in decisions
Members vote on cooperative matters, one vote each, with results visible as they come in — not held back until the poll closes.

FAQ

Fair questions, straight answers.

Does AjoHub hold my money?
No — and that's deliberate. Contributions move directly between members and your group admin, by bank transfer, cash, or Paystack. AjoHub records, verifies, and displays every transaction so the whole group sees the same truth — but the platform never touches the funds.
What happens if a member doesn't pay?
The platform makes defaults visible immediately: overdue flags, automatic reminders, guarantor notifications, and a permanent mark on the member's Ajo Score. Groups can require a guarantor before anyone joins. AjoHub can't force anyone to pay — no app can — but it makes reliability visible and defaulting expensive.
How do I know I can trust a group admin?
Every admin has a public track record: their Ajo Score, how many groups they've completed, cancelled, or are running now — shown on the group page before you join. Admins also clear a stricter identity-verification tier than members.
What is the Ajo Score?
A 0–100 trust score built from your on-time contribution rate, completed groups, verification tier, and guarantor history. Every component is visible — it's not a black box. It follows you across groups, so your reliability becomes an asset.
Can I use AjoHub for my existing WhatsApp group?
Yes — export your WhatsApp chat and upload it. AjoHub extracts the participants and generates invites, so a group that's been running on voice notes and memory can move over in minutes.
What does it cost?
Free during beta. Group service charges — the small cut some groups give their admin for organising — are set by your group, shown before you join, and go to your admin, not to AjoHub.

Bring your circle — or your cooperative — into the light.
